Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient medicine rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine where needles are used to connect and stimulate different areas of the body to guide your system into homeostasis.
Acupuncture utilizes the penetration of fine needles into specific points along channels on the body. Acupuncture is based on many deeply rooted theories in how different facets of the body, mind, and spirit are inherently connected, as well as how we are connected with and impacted by the environment in which we live. Acupuncture is used to promote and restore the balance of energy in order to aid the body to function with ease and reconnect each part to work together harmoniously within the whole.
Acupuncture can promote the release of various brain chemicals, improve circulation, reduce pain, regulate the nervous system, influence the endocrine system, modulate the immune system, and more.

Supplementing with herbal medicinals will allow for a sustainable healing journey. Each prescription is based on your individual constitutional needs.

The pharmacopeia of herbs consist of over 500 different varieties prescribed with care by our board certified herbalist. Cupping
Cupping is added to an acupuncture treatment or used as a standalone modality to target pain, tension and detoxification.
Cupping is a therapeutic technique that involves fire & glass cups to create a suction on the body. The suction reaches the skin, fascia and muscle layers, stimulating a therapeutic effect by bringing qi and blood circulation to the area, releasing tension and drawing out toxins. Cupping is an effective tool to relieve pain and ease muscle tension, calm the mind by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, and boost immunity by reaching the lymph pathways.
Moxibustion
Burning a warming herb along acupuncture points and channels delivers heat, relieves pain & stimulates the body to promote healing.
Moxibustion involves burning dried mugwort (Ai Ye), a therapeutic herb, on or close to the skin to stimulate qi and blood flow. Delivering this warming herb to your body’s qi circuit is known to awaken all 12 channels, which provides a warming and energizing response, relieves pain and supports the immune system & digestion.
Gua sha
Gua sha is a technique that helps to ease muscle tension and release pathogens from the body.
Gua sha is an adjunctive therapy that involves the use of smooth-edged tools to scrape the skin with pressure to induce a therapeutic response. Where there is stagnation or a pathogen to be released, the skin will reflect with a pink-ish hue, called “sha”. By inducing micro-inflammation, the body’s immune system will respond by sending blood flow to the area to relieve pain, promote detoxification and enhance healing.
ElectroAcupuncture
Electrical stimulation is added to an acupuncture treatment to enhance the qi response, providing a wide variety of therapeutic effects.
By attaching electrodes to acupuncture needles, an electrical current stimulates the acupuncture points, which activates certain areas of the brain to release neurotransmitters and pain relieving chemicals. With this modality, we can target acute and chronic pain, as well as a dysregulated nervous system. Different frequencies activate the response of varying neuropeptides which are involved in the pain response. Through e-stim, we can activate the body’s immune response with its role in the inflammatory process.
